Youth:
- Rotary Technology Tournament – Organised
all day competition for students from local schools and colleges at BCoT. March 2024 – 60 students participated with
teams designing and manufacturing
a model vehicle, carrying a relief package, to cross a river using a cable,
which is suspended across it.
- Christmas
Giving Tree – Christmas presents for Basingstoke Young Carers
International:
- Christmas Shoeboxes from local
schools - Collected
and sent shoeboxes filled with gifts to disadvantaged children in Moldova,
Montenegro, Romania, and Ukraine (via Poland) – Christmas 2023 Total 532
Environment:
- Hampshire & Isle of Wight
Amphibian & Reptile Group – donated and helped to clear Rotherwick
pond of invasive non-native plants
- Purple 4 Polio – Planted Crocuses and daffodils in shape of very large
Rotary Wheel in Stratton Park to raise awareness of continuing worldwide
campaign to eradicate Polio
