Dragon Boat Racing

The speaker at the Rotary Club of Kendal on 22^nd July was one of their members, Past President David Oates who outlined his idea of holding a Dragon Boat event in 2025. The event would be organised and run by a specialised company and all the Club would have to do is find a minimum of 15 teams and provide some volunteers on the day. The aim is to raise funds for the club and also allow other groups a chance to raise money for their own organisations. The club agreed in principle to go ahead and to do some more research and look for a suitable venue (possibly on Windermere).
