West Fife Rotary is delighted that our club's winner won both the District 1010 and National Titles.
Congratulations to Rebecca Eapen North London Collegiate School. No Rotary clubs in her area hosted a Young Writer Competition in 2024 so West Fife were pleased to allow her talent to be recognised. Please read The Right Choice, her writing below, you will be impressed! Rebecca Eapen’s poignant story, ‘The Right Choice’, is told from the perspective of a dog, who is the loyal companion of a soldier. Amidst a chaotic war scene filled with explosions and destruction, the dog witnesses the tragic death of his partner, leaving him heartbroken and grieving.
Similarly with no chance of entering locally West Fife submitted an entry from Jasper De Linde (Hampton School, Surrey) and he was awarded joint second in the District 1010 Senior Category. Well done to our prize winners.
‘Rebuilding Lives and Rebuilding Communities’ is one of three unifying themes Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I) is using to link all the service projects Rotary clubs undertake in and with their communities, and the people in them, locally, nationally and internationally.
