Rotary member Iris Hodgson gave a talk this week about the Compassionate Friends Charity. This charity supports bereaved parents and their families where a child or grandchild has died. It was founded over 50 years ago by a chaplain at the Warwickshire Hospital in England. Compassionate Friends is now in 30 countries worldwide.

All volunteers who are on committees for events, Facilitate Groups, operate telephone helplines and are grief companions must have a full police disclosure and recieve mandatory ongoing comprehensive training.
