Partner club visit to Saint-Raphaël

From May 2 to 4, our friends enjoyed a very nice program with a guided tour of Roman and medieval Fréjus and the Belle Époque villas in Saint Raphaël, the Villa Marie and the Villa Chantereine. The club presidents and Suraiya Kassamally, District Governor, District 1130 met at the club headquarters at the Golf de Valescure Hotel to take stock of the international projects supported since 2017 in Senegal and Ethiopia, and to discuss the next international project for 2023-24 .

A festive barbecue followed and allowed the exchange of club banners and gifts, including a superb ceramic decorated with the names of the 4 clubs (Lodi), a painting of the Leipzig market, playing cards on the life of Napoleon, a period English engraving and a magnificent gold and pink square from India by Suraiya Kassamally . 

This evening was one of generosity thanks to the sale of Candles of Hope (https://rotarystraphael.fr/les-bougies-de-lspér/) which will allow the purchase of doses of Polio vaccine. 

The visit concluded with a gala dinner in the  presence of André Pichaud, Past District Governor,  District 1730 and Philippe Loucheux, ADG
