A Charter Celebration was held on 12th April 2024 at the Sandbach Masonic Hall to mark “100 Years of Rotary in Sandbach” – 79 years by the Rotary Sandbach and 21 by Rotary Sandbach Crosses.

Presidents Rtn. Stuart Blackwell (Rotary Sandbach) and Rtn. Malcolm Bugler (Rotary Sandbach Crosses) officiated and Grace was read by Rtn Keith Ludlam (Rotary Sandbach). The event was attended by 33 Rotarians, representing 8 clubs, and 16 guests.

After a three-course meal a toast to the RC of Sandbach was proposed by Rtn Jane Spencer (Rotary Sandbach Crosses) and to the Rotary Sandbach Crosses by Rtn John Higgins (Rotary Sandbach).

The entertainment was provided by Bill Durose who was “16 in the Sixties” and who entertained us with some songs, accompanied by guitar, some facts and some amusing stories from that time.

The vote of thanks was given by District Governor Elect, Jean Billingsley.
