2024 Primary School Quiz

Crossford Primary School emerged victorious at the hotly contested West Fife Primary Schools Quiz held on Wednesday, March 20th at the Oakley Campus. In a thrilling finale, Crossford edged out their closest challengers with a late push to claim the trophy and progress to the area final.

Organised by the Rotary Club of West Fife, the evening was a resounding success, with nine schools fielding eight teams and an impressive audience of over 100 in attendance. The young quizzers from across West Fife battled it out, showcasing their impressive knowledge over ten rounds across a range of subjects.

As the rounds progressed, the competition narrowed to a four-way tie between Crossford, Limekilns, Torryburn, and Cairneyhill Primary Schools. With only three rounds remaining, these four teams were locked in a tense stalemate, separated by the narrowest of margins.

However, Crossford's team demonstrated remarkable poise, pulling ahead in the final round to clinch the championship with a total of 100 points. Limekilns and Torryburn shared the runner-up position with 99 points each, while Cairneyhill secured a respectable third place, just two points behind the leaders.

Crossford Primary's triumphant team will now advance to the Rotary Area Final at Auchmuty School in Glenrothes, scheduled for the evening of April 17th, where they will face off against the top teams from across the region.

The West Fife Primary Schools Quiz has once again highlighted the exceptional talent and dedication of the area's young scholars. Congratulations to Crossford Primary and all the participating schools for an outstanding display of knowledge and sportsmanship.
