Beach Clean 2024

Prestwick Rotary Club is running a BEACH CLEAN on Saturday 13th April. Meet near Kidz Play in Prestwick at 9.30 am. All are welcome to come along and help. Please mark this date in your diary, and support us in clearing rubbish from the wonderful beach, and grassy dune areas.

The Big Beach Clean is a joint venture between Rotary and Ayrshire Coastal Path. Together with other Ayrshire Rotary Clubs, and with the help of South Ayrshire and North Ayrshire Councils and bands of community volunteers we expect to be able to cover up to 20 beaches in this year’s Annual Beach Clean. Last year, more than 250 environmentally-conscious folk filled 450 council bags together with assorted debris.

Please wear stout shoes and gloves, and we will have some ‘litter-pickers’ you can borrow, to assist in lifting rubbish. Previous clean-ups have collected a mountain of rubbish, so we can make a difference working together as a team. It is worthwhile, sociable and fun. Young people are especially welcome.
