Primary School Quiz - Cathedral Hall Dunblane

Bridge of Allan & Dunblane Rotary Club held their club heat of this year’s Rotary Primary School Quiz competition in Dunblane Cathedral Hall on Friday afternoon (15th March). Six local Bridge of Allan and Dunblane Schools took part, Bridge of Allan Primary, Dunblane Primary, Fairview International, Newton Primary, St Mary’s Episcopal and Queen Victoria School. It was a tough but fun competition with the school teams answering questions from a variety of topics including geography, technology, science, mathematics and sport. It was a fiercely fought quiz with Bridge of Allan Primary School taking first place by a single point just ahead of Newton Primary School.

Rotary District 1010 (North of |Scotland) has for many years run this quiz programme for Primary 7 age group pupils, which starts with local Rotary Club & area heats all culminating in a district final. These quiz events give great enjoyment to pupils, parents, teachers and Rotarians. Nearly 80 Rotary Clubs in District 1010 will this year be successfully staging Primary School Quiz Club Heats involving more than 500 Scottish schools.
