The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary on 12th February was Laura Singleton from the Calvert Trust who gave an illustrated presentation detailing the work and ethos of the charity. They believe the Lakes should be accessible to everyone. Their residential breaks help people with a range of disabilities experience the Lake District in a safe and supportive way. Delivering a fun and fulfilling experience that makes a positive difference in their lives. From their specialist residential centre on the outskirts of Keswick, they offer individuals, families and school groups the chance to experience everything the Lake District has to offer in a safe and supportive way. Taking advantage of the amazing Lake District landscape, they run as many of their activities as they can away from the Centre, with all groups enjoying a variety of single and multiple instructor led activities. Each Activity Group has a dedicated instructor with them for the duration of their stay, allowing our staff to get to know every individual and helping you make the most of your stay.
