Rotary donates £500 to help Manx Scouts attend Red Rose International Scout & Guide Jamboree - January 2024
The Club's Charitable Trust has donated £500 to the Isle of Man Scouts to help 40 local scouts and guides attend the Red Rose International Scout & Guide Jamboree that is being held in the Lake District later in 2024.
Camping is an important part of the Scouting& Guiding experience. The Red Rose Jamboree in the Lake District will be an unique experience that will give them the opportunity to enjoy a week of unity, friendship, and adventure with over a thousand other Scouts & Guides from across the UK.
In making the donation Rotary Club President Mike Johnson commented
“Many of our members of have very happy memories of being in the Scouts and the enjoyable times at Scout Camp. We are pleased to help local scouts attend this Jamboree.”
