Club Fun Walk Publicity

We reported our participation in the 2023 Billericay Fun Walk in September.  Part of the benefit of this event is that all participants receive a bonus donation in proportion to the amount they have raised.

The bonus pot is made up of donations from local firms who want to support local charities, and the size of the bonus is a closely guarded secret until the final size of the pot itself, and the amount raised by all the Fun Walk participants has been calculated. (There were 70 participating groups and over 2,000 “walkers” this year).

The Press Release was issued this month and our photo features prominently on the front page of the Billericay Gazette, and a captioned version on Page 6 inside.  Great publicity for the Billericay Rotary Club.

The “Grand Reveal” of the size of the bonus took place at Canon Roche Hall on the evening of November 24 and a separate report on the event follows.
