Update 2 February 2024 - and truly inspirationall Celebration Service for Peter's life at St Cyr's Church, Sonehouse.
An early Club Secretary, meticulous minutes and records - a busy man as Bursar at Wycliffe with his badge of office, a huge bunch of keys on his waist, secured with baler twine.
A very special day, our visit to Buckingham Palace, when Andrew and my son Roger, were awarded their Gold Awards, by the Duke of Edinburgh.
Our trips to Brittany, Peter and Cicely in their trusty camping trailer, we enjoyed it so much.
Meeting him as a resplendent Station Master, at Toddington Railway, he loved his locomotives, and did valiant service there
His epic bike rides, London to Paris to raise funds for British Legion, and riding to Club at Frocester, and it seemed fitting, that on retirement as Rotary President, his leaving gift from Club, a pair of Gold Plated Cycle Clips.
A wise and considerate man, dedicated to serving the community in many ways,he is sadly missed.
Thanks to Mike Shillitoe, a fellow founder member of the Club, for these memories.
