Help for Young People in Cumbria/Lancashire

The speaker was our Past District Governor Kath Bromilow who gave an overview of the Vera Wolstencroft Charity. The charity gives grants for the prevention or relief of poverty and help for children/young people’s groups in Lancashire and Cumbria. She is proposing that six Rotary Clubs will be awarded £3000 each to use as they wish for their own nominated projects. Members were asked to nominate suitable candidates for this award to be discussed at the December Council meeting.
