EPSOM AND EWELL REMEMBRANCE SERVICES
The Mayor and Councillors attended a small Armistice Day Ceremony at the Epsom Town Centre Clock Tower. At 11am Wreath was laid by The Mayor, followed by a 2 minute silence and The Last Post.
On Remembrances Sunday at 10.30 the Remembrance Parade left the Army Reserve Centre and marched down to St Mary's Church. The Parade consisted or the Mayor, Councillors, and representatives from the Local Youth Organisations as well as other organisations within the Borough.
At 10.45 wreath laying at the War Memorial led by the Vicar of St Mary's Church and Royal British Legion,, and Mike Hill laid the wreath on behalf of the Veterans Hub and Chris Shortt of Epsom Rotary also laid a wreath. At 11am the Last Post was played and at 11.10 the procession made their way for the Remembrance Sunday Service at St Mary's Church.
The service was then follow by a lunch hosted by 135 Geo SQN with an invite for veterans to attend as well as various others.
Epsom Rotary and Ewell Rotary Clubs also assisted by Marshalling the road closures for the event which also brought a good crowd of spectators,
