Yasmin Alieskandari and Geneve Bartholomew-Brand

The speakers at the meeting of Kendal Rotary on 23rd October were Yasmin Alieskandari and Geneve Bartholomew-Brand who are involved in The LIFE R4ever Kent’ project. The LIFE R4ever Kent project was established in 2021 and runs for five years. Nestled in the breathtaking landscape of south Cumbria in the Lake District National Park, the River Kent winds its way from headwaters around Kentmere and flows through Kendal to meet the sea in Morecambe Bay. Held dear by residents for its nature, the project aims to Revive, Revitalise and Restore this majestic river system, ensuring it is Resilient to current environmental pressures and future changes.
