Visit to Leighton Moss
Ready to Go
On 11th September there was no speaker but instead we went to Leighton Moss Bird Sanctuary where we had a lovely introductory talk by Chris from the Reserve talking us through what to look out for. We went to the sky tower and then on to the Causeway hide and Lower Hide. We saw plenty if gadwall ducks, coots, mallard and shoveler ducks. At the lower hide we saw an osprey eating a fish and for those with good binoculars there was a pair of otters. All this finished with tea and cake by some of the team.
