Chantel McFeely came along to talk to us about her proposed Open Water charity swim from Troon Ballast Bank to Lady Isle on the 16th September. Through her swim she is trying to raise funds for the River Garden Auchencruive which is "a training and social enterprise development centre offering a residential programme for people in the early stages of recovery from drug and/or alchohol addiction."

She has been training since June in the swimming pool before progressing to Brookers Pond then onto swimming in the sea. By her own hard work she has managed to create a backup team for her Charity Swim and even has seals swiming along with her.

If anyone wants to donate to this wonderful cause, Chantel has a JustGiving page for her fundraising.

Congratulations to Chantal for completing her swim in horendous conditions in 5.5 hours. What an amazing achievement.
