The speaker at the meeting of 17th July was Cathy Dutton from Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership who gave a presentation about her work and in particular with apprenticeships. Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership (CLEP) is providing a strategic lead on all activities contributing to the county's economic growth and Cathy’s aim is to inspire young people into the world of work and to this end she is working closely with schools and colleges to include careers education and encouraging meaningful work experience for all pupils.
