Chinnor Rotary invited everyone to enter our Art competition celebrating one of Chinnor's well-loved landmarks, the Windmill in Whites field. Other local features or landscapes - such as the Chiltern Hills or buildings in the neighbouring town and villages were considered as valid entries.
Congratulations to all Chinnor Rotary Art Competition participants and the prize winners at our event held at the Whites Field on Sunday 27th August! The winners were: Esme Parker (under 10 years of age category), Tong Sim (11-17), Caroline Davidge (over 18) and Pete Sammes (the people’s vote).
Huge thanks to #chinnor community and to our #rotary #PeopleofAction #volunteers for the support towards our event and #ShelterBox disaster relief, Rotary partner.
There was the opportunity to win prizes whilst raising some money for charitable causes supported by Rotary, ShelterBox and Aquabox.
All prizes have been sponsored by Charlie’s Butchers of Chinnor, Parkers Chinnor, Manor Stores, Bipul’s Kitchen. Chinnor Rotary members would like to thank all these Chinnor based businesses for their kind support.

A prize will be awarded for the Artwork selected by our judges from each age group and there will also be a People’s Choice prize given to the entry most admired and voted for by the public, during the afternoon of the event.
All artworks will be on display to the public during the afternoon in the marque in Whites field.
A creative approach and self-expressive use of your chosen painting or drawing method is encouraged. Have fun!
Entry Details:
· Artworks can be drawn, painted, printed, made with mixed media/ collage.
· Artworks can be created on a tablet but will need to be printed out.
· Artworks can be made prior to the day of the event, from the beginning of 2023. They can also be made during the day of the event. Come and draw the Windmill from life!
· Sorry, no photography or sculpture this time.
· Art materials are not supplied. Framing or mounting your Artwork entry is entirely optional.
· Please put your name and contact information, on the back of your entry.
· All Artworks to be entered by 2pm on Sunday 27th August. Please bring to the Marque in Whites Field.
· Judging will take place at 3:30 PM and prize giving will be at 4:00 PM
· Artworks can be collected from 5pm onwards.
Size of Artwork Entry:
Min 20 x 30 cm (approximately A4) up to Max size 30 x 42 cm (approximately A3 )
Age Groups:
· Up to 10 years old.
· 11 years to 17 years old
· 18 years old and over
Entry fee:
£3.00 per adult £2.00 per child
Two or more children from the same household £1 each.
Money raised will be donated to charities supported by Rotary, Aqua box and Shelter Box.
Chinnor Rotary would like to post images of the Artworks entered on our social media, artists will be credited. Please notify us if you don’t allow this.
