Emily Griffiths

The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary on 22^nd May was Emily Griffiths, the Chair of ‘Suicide Bereavement Support’. She told her personal story and tragedy and of the support she received from the charity.  In Cumbria there are one suicide death per week which is 50% above the national average.  There are seven fully bereavement trained facilitators and the support involves dedicated telephone help lines, zoom meetings as well as a regular Newsletter.
