Epitaphs from around the world

Epitaphs

Prestwick Rotarians enjoyed an amusing and informative presentation on 'epitaphs from around the world' from Kilmarnock Rotarian Jim McCulloch. Jim is a minister emeritus for Hurlford Church, and assistant minister at Bothwell Parish Church, so he is well able to speak eloquently in public.

He has a keen sense of language and all its foibles, and some of the epitaphs read out are hilarious, either intentionally, or by accident. Epitaph humour made a welcome change for us all, delivered with warmth and compassion. A great evening of entertainment in a warm, friendly environment.
It was great to have a speaker connection with Kilmarnock Rotary Club. Kate Sweeney, pictured with Jim, gave a hearty, well-deserved, vote of thanks.
