ROTARY CLUB OF BROMLEY GAME CHANGERS PARTNERS WITH EVEREST INN HELPING HANDS AND PROJECT HOSPICE NEPAL

On 17 April 2023, the recently chartered Rotary Club of Bromley Game Changers teamed up with Everest Inn Helping Hands and Project Hospice Nepal to celebrate the Nepali New Year and raise funds for the building of a new hospice in Kathmandu.

The charity event was held at the award-winning restaurant, Everest Inn Blackheath, where guests enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal while being serenaded by singer James KG Hoare. A significant amount of money was raised for Project Hospice Nepal, thanks to the generosity of the guests and the Bhandari family who hosted the event.

Project Hospice Nepal involves the building of a new hospice on the outskirts of Kathmandu. The new hospice will be a state-of-the art medical facility with 20-24 beds, including dedicated paediatric beds. It will be a base for rural and urban community outreach programmes, as well as a centre of educational excellence. The aim is to help people who are terminally ill pass away with dignity and with minimal pain.
