Grand Theatre Lancaster
The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary on 17th April was Adrien Taylor from the Grand Theatre, Lancaster. He gave an illustrated presentation detailing the history of theatre and in particular the Grand Theatre in Lancaster which is the third oldest theatre in the country and is a grade II listed building. He then took us on a tour of the building and explained how the theatre works and detailed the various productions that have been seen over the years. They have ambitious plans to add a new extension which is due to be built soon.
