The Rotary Club of Gillingham’s Annual Christmas Float Collection during December 2022 raised £12,813. On 24 January, the first of several planned charity presentations took place when President John Allen gave cheques of £1,500 to:

  • Demelza House Hospice Care for Children. Represented by Regional Fundraiser, Laura Regan.Demelza House has been supporting local families of children with serious or terminal conditions for almost 25 years and will celebrate this anniversary in June with an open day.
  • The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust represented by Vice Chairman and Trustee of the Trust, Dan Liddiard. The unit cares for babies born prematurely or who are sick and need intensive care. Dan said the donation would be used to buy lifesaving equipment for very sick and tiny premature babies.

Thanks to the people of Gillingham who donated to the Rotary Club of Gillingham’s 2022 Santa sleigh run. Community Service Chairman Barry Gillam has to date made three deliveries of food and hygiene products to the Gillingham Street Angels on behalf of the club
