Charity Swimathon 2023
March 18th saw the return of our annual Charity Swimathon . A fun event at at Stockport Grammar School's pool with 14 teams all raising money for charity .
Much of the money raised will go to our Turkey/Syria earthquake disaster appeal.Fourteen teams took part from all sorts of organisations ranging from our own Rotary Club to Brownies. This is a fun event where teams can share the pool and swim as fast or as slowly as they like. One exception to this was an individual swimmer entered by the Rotary club of new Mills and Marple who achieved an amazing record of 107 lengths in the 55 minutes swimming slot raising money for a drowning prevention charity in Bangladesh . A big thank you to everyone who has supported us in this event . Hope to see even more of you next year.Next years event will be on 9th March 2024 .
