TALK AT LUNCH MEETING

CLUB MEETING SPEAKERS

Club Meetings take place regularly at Cuddington Golf Club - a lunch time meeting and on alternative weeks at The Haywain Epsom during the evenings and from time to time we invite speakers to enlighten members to to introduce a scope of possible new projects. 

A few weeks ago, at the evening Meeting we had a talk from Epsom Citizens Advice Bureau wo explained the many challenges they are increasingly facing.

On 02 March 2023, a rather intriguing talk was presented by Barry Battenshaw who explained that he had ben a bomb disposal for the majority of his career and after qualifying at Military college he was posted to Germany where he had the opportunity to play Rugby to a high standard.  Later he was attached to the SAS and looked after Prince Charles. He had many anecdotes about dealing with explosives and through the many talks he has now undertaken has raised money to inoculate some 145,000 children by giving talks about his experiences.
