The Rotary Club of Diss and District has provided 20 slow cookers for Waveney Foodbank for their work with families in fuel and food poverty and provide a low-cost and efficient and reliable way of heating food.
The President of the Rotary Club, Peter Sorrell, and Communities Chair, Phil Catchpole, presented the slow cookers on 25th January at the Foodbank warehouse. Members of the Rotary Club had sourced the slow cookers, which have been paid for through the Rotary Club as part of their support for local communities.
Diss and District Rotary Club has supported the work of Waveney Foodbank for many years, and in a variety of ways, where we have responded to Foodbank requests for help and support.
