Irvine Seagate Rotary held a zoom meeting on Monday, connecting with two members who are away in the southern hemisphere. Unfortunately while the two in New Zealand and Australia were able to communicate with each other with ease, the internet quality in Irvine meant that those here had only intermittent access to images of life in the sun. Next week’s meeting will be a Ten Pin bowling night, competing against the Skinners craft, which should be less technically challenging.
It was reported that the Poppy Scotland collections at Tesco and Sainsburys in November, organised by Seagate Rotary, had raised over £5,000 for the Veterans charity. Thanks are due to all the members of the community who contributed, and to Tesco and Sainsburys for their participation.
