Rotary Monmouth also assisted Friends of the Wye with a meeting at Bridges on May 16th 2035 discussing the state of the Lower Wye and the Trothy and Monnow, tributaries that flow into the Wye near Monmouth. Friends of the River Wye were also given a grant of £300 to buy turbidity testers to help monitor problems on the rivers
In 2022/23 Rotary Monmouth has been funding purchase of Citizen Science water testing kits for Friends of the Lower Wye and organised a public information evening in association with the Friends of the Lower Wye held on November 25th 2022 at Bridges.
A further meeting with the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales was held on May 19th 2023 at Bridges, see HERE for details
