Plant pot stand from Souq

At the suggestion of Rotarian Kate Sweeney, Prestwick Rotary had a 'bring and tell' evening. Members were encouraged to bring in an article which has a meaning for them, and present it. It is a fun activity which enables folk to interact and hence know one another better.
Kate brought in this incredible carved pot stand, purchased in an old Bedouin Souq over 30 years ago. All the pieces interlock without any sign of a joint, so it must have been carved from one piece of wood.
Stephen Cooper showed us a variety of fake £20 banknotes. Debby Broughton-Hay passed round her holiday sketch book, and Mike Kelly donned his C.U. Jimmy hat, made famous by Russ Abbot over 20 years ago.
Other items included a school certificate, a hedgehog made at primary school, a tiny model cooker, and shoe hooks and a shoe horn passed down via a grandmother. A good sociable evening, and an activity recommended for other Rotary Clubs as a change from a visiting speaker.
