Christmas Goodie Bags
Midhurst & Petworth Rotary helped again this year to provide Christmas Goodie bags being delivered with the lunch boxes via Midhurst & Petworth Foodbanks, to more than 175 families in the local area, whose children receive free school meals.
Rotary wanted to give the youngsters some Christmas cheer, so decided to assemble a little bag that included a box of Cadburys chocolate fingers ,loved by everyone, a handful of Celebrations or Heroes sweets, 3 satsumas, 3 apples and a couple of crackers. To supply more than 260 bags, 200 in Midhurst area & 65 around Petworth, required more than 80 kilos of both satsumas and apples!!
Most of the product was supplied by Tesco Express and Dave Woods Manager in Midhurst donated £40 from his store community Fund and a major donation also came from MADhurst Festival.
A very Merry Christmas from us all at Midhurst & Petworth Rotary.
