John Broadhead spoke about his life in Printing
The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary was John Broadhead, one of our own members who gave an illustrated talk on his life working as a printer, originally in Nairobi in Kenya and latterly in Scotland on his return to the UK. Originally he trained as a compositor, a trade which with the advent of the computer has just about died out now, and eventually moving to a management role prior to his retirement in Kendal.
