Young Musicians Area Final at the Dutch Barn, Whitchurch High School
The Area Young Musician Competition
took place on Monday 23rd January in
the Dutch Barn Concert Hall of
Whitchurch High School, off Manor Way.
The Vocal Competition with five competitors began at 5pm and the Instrumental Competition
with eight competitors began at 7pm. The standard was very high and the winners were:
Young Vocalist
Winner: Owen Hurrell sponsored by Cardiff West Rotary
Runner Up: Ethan Hartley " " Cardiff Breakfast Rotary
Young Instrumentalist
Winner: Remy Segrott " " Garth
Runner Up Annie Song " " Cardiff Breakfast Rotary
The District Finals will take place at Islwyn Comprehensive School, Oakdale on Saturday, 4th March. The Vocalists starting at 1.30 pm and the Instrumentalists starting at 5.00 pm.
