2022 Rotary Youth Music Festival

2022 Music Festival

                 WEDNESDAY 2ND NOVEMBER 2022

                       YOUTH MUSIC FESTIVAL

Over 100 musicians from five local schools many of whom were giving their first public performance gave a wonderful concert to an enthusiastic audience at Midhurst Rother College.

This was the first Music Festival for three years due to the Covid pandemic and it was well worth waiting for. The programme consisted of music from four school choirs, a brass band, a jazz band and the College Orchestra representing the primary schools of Midhurst, Easebourne , Stedham and Harting together with pupils from Midhurst Rother College.

From the quality of the performances it was evident that much hard work had been undertaken beforehand by all participating pupils and much credit must also be given to the teaching staff for achieving such high standards. Special mention must also go to Easebourne music teacher Katie Stevens who oversaw and coordinated the programme for the first time.

Rotary would also like to thank the following sponsors - Macdonald Oates solicitors, Rotherhill Nurseries, Henry Adams Estate Agents, Cowdray, Hunt Developments and Roger Poat & Partners who helped to swell the funds through their sponsorship. Together with a small adult entrance fee the total sum raised will be split equitably among the music departments of the participating schools.

A joyous evening much enjoyed by all.
