Rother Valley Together Fund-raiser

The Rother Valley Together Fund-raiser which was held on Friday 21^st October at the Memorial Hall was a great success!  There were 19 teams and nearly 150 people in attendance which was a fantastic turn-out!.  There had been a great deal of organisation necessary for such a large gathering and a huge amount of work on the night.  Julian and John M had been meeting with Caroline from RVT over the last few months planning this evening and it was wonderful to see such support from the local community including many Rotarians.  John and Julian had organised the bar, acquired raffle prizes from local individuals and businesses, and organised the food and the premises.  Sandy Maguire and her team of helpers from Inner Wheel worked extremely hard to make sure the food, provided by Red H was served efficiently. Robert, Mike and Rangesh manned the bar. Julian as quizmaster was ably supported by Diane, Phoebe and Will and the quiz itself was great fun and challenging. The winners were the team called ‘ Universally Challenged’ and received ‘gold’ medals for their efforts.  

Nearly £3000 was made for RVT - fantastic outcome due to hard work by lots of people!

It couldn’t have happened without such an excellent response from Rotary and Inner Wheel and we know that the members of Rother Valley Together will truly benefit. It was lovely to see several club members joining in
