Life at the Bank
The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary Club on 10th October was one of our own members, Past President Alan Fleming, who gave a humorous talk detailing his life and career in Banking. When he left school he went straight to join the Trustee Savings Bank and from there he then progressed through system and worked in many branches throughout the north west before finally retiring and settling in Kendal. He described how banking has changed over the years and not always for the best!
