I also received a message recently asking me about the draw names, so I thought I would publicise that the reason for the names was that I wanted to avoid having North vs South or East vs West. In fact it would probably have been North & North West and middle vs South and South East with a few from lower middle West! I looked up the websites of every club that had entered, placed pins on Google Earth and looked for the best way to divide the group into two nearly equal halves. There wasn't a compass point answer, so I decided it might be better just to find two names instead. In the case of Ten Pin Bowling, Turkey and Badger are terms for multiple strikes, something most of us would certainly never achieve, but I thought was rather fun. I think one is three strikes in a row and the other four!
