Wednesday morning July 6 saw the return of Enterprise Day to Buttsbury Junior School. This is a school challenge day - the children are challenged to be enterprising to find ways to raise money for charity.
Each class was set the challenge of generating as much money as possible from a £5 starting budget, with all profits going to the school’s chosen charity, Guide Dogs UK.
The children had a fantastic morning; there was lots of excitement throughout the school as children had the opportunity to visit all of the other classes and take part in a range of games and activities.
There was a variety of things for the children to explore including crazy golf, arcades, bowling alleys, name what’s in the box, a nerf gun shooting gallery, an art gallery and lots of cup pong!
Cup pong? It’s not what you think! It’s very addictive - children bounce table tennis balls into cups. (Our ex-editor Trevor Bond had a go when we last attended Enterprise Day in the times before Covid.
The children had great fun and raised a massive £1127.26 for charity.
The top three grossing classes were 5R - £141.90, 5M - £109.28 and 6A - £97.
Thank you for your support in making the morning such a success.
