The MICAH Project

Human whirlwind Helen Hogg presented Prestwick Rotarians with a summary of the many activities of The MICAH Project, a local enterprise based in Troon. Helen is based at St Meddans Church in Troon, and her group activities are wide-ranging, throughout Troon and beyond. Projects include : a community clothing programme, food preparation and waste reduction, social group participation, sourcing of large family items such as cots and buggies, assisting those in need in Malawi and Ukraine. Helen's energy and commitment is awesome.

She leads by example, and her engaging manner and good humour does inspire others to volunteer and help, creating a resilient network of support. We were all impressed by Helen's excellent rapid fire presentation, and wide-ranging agenda. Rotarian Allan Dunlop gave Helen a well-deserved vote of thanks on behalf of us all.
