Forty Rotarians and friends headed for the croquet club at Lodsworth. They were divided into teams of 4 and invited to see how many strokes it took each team to get round the course, and pass through 7 hoops. Each team was invited to give themselves a name, and after 3 rounds of the course it was the Soggy Bottoms who triumphed.
Great fun was had by all, and we were most grateful to the Lodsworth Croquet Club for allowing us to use their facilities. Following the croquet we retired to the Royal Oak in Midhurst and enjoyed a splendid and convivial meal.
