The Bracken Trust charity is given a generous donation

by the Knighton and District Rotary Club

On Monday August 1st, in the Community Garden at the rear of the Knighton Community Centre, President Kim Smith of the Knighton Rotary Club presented a cheque for £500 to Reg Cawthorne of the Bracken Trust, based in Llandrindod Wells. As Reg said today “The Bracken Trust is here to support anyone affected by cancer. This includes patients, families, carers, and bereaved relatives.” He added “Located in beautiful, secluded premises in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, we offer help by providing information, advice, support, counselling and complementary therapies. After the presentation, Rotary President Kim said “We are delighted to be in the position to make this donation thanks to the local community supporting our fundraising activities”. Reg Cawthorne was joined on the day by Bracken Trust outreach nurses Janice Vincett and Sylvia Wilkinson. You  can find out more about the Bracken Trust on their informative website.
