BBQ at Bishop's Stortford Golf Club – 10th July 2022

On a sunny Sunday in July, the club looked back at retiring President Brian Morgan’s year, and took the opportunity of a BBQ at Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club to thank him for his hard work in the year in which we gradually came out of the pandemic.  

Our members and partners were joined by family and friends, members of the Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford’s Satellite Club and Stort Valley Rotary Club, plus past members of our Club.  Also amongst the guests were the widows of deceased members, whom we call ‘special ladies’.  

We were impressively entertained for an hour before lunch by a group of young musicians from The Bishop’s Stortford High School.  

After an excellent BBQ, members lingered to chat to friends, and new President Jane Mitchell officially thanked Brian Morgan for his efforts and reminded us of some of the achievements in his year.  She presented his social partner, Hilary, with a bouquet of flowers.  As we look forward to the year ahead, it was good to ponder with satisfaction the year that has just passed.
