2022 07 Skittles for 'Chooks' Trophy

Rotary v Inner Wheel match

Midhurst and Petworth Rotary v Inner Wheel

Skittles Match for the ‘Chooks’ Trophy

After an absence of nearly 3 years the skittles match against our Inner Wheel club for the ‘Chooks’ trophy took place on the 25th July 2022.  37 Rotary and Inner Wheel members and their partners and family gathered at The Spur P.H, Slindon to do battle, and after 3 closely fought rounds the Rotary club managed to retain the trophy for another year which was presented to our President, Julian Goodale.

Between the rounds a well prepared buffet meal was laid out by The Spur for everyone to enjoy.

Following the skittles match for the ‘Chooks’  trophy the charity (‘Killer’) round took place and again the Rotary club came out on top with the money raised going into the clubs charity account.  Prizes were given out for the highest individual scores for Rotary and Inner Wheel members. Bernadette Dearden won the ladies prize and after a ‘skittle off’ between Andrew Mitchell and Peter Davies, Andrew came out the winner.

Congratulations to all those who took part and hopefully everyone enjoyed great fellowship and lots of laughter throughout the evening.

John Sexton - Club Sports Officer.
