Rotary members handed out mulled wine and mince pies to the assembled throng. It was a wonderful time to chat with everyone as they enjoyed the beginning of the Christmas festivities.
We erected a gazebo erected opposite the Library and were ready with cauldrons of mulled wine and piping hot mince pies to give to the folk of Westbury.
It’s was a well-attended affair and appreciated by everyone.
The wine and mince pies were usually partly subsidised by local stores.
We estimated that over 120 litres of wine and 250 mince pied were handed out to the grateful passers by.
Lidls deserve a special mention as they donated the lions share of the wine/pies
