Royalty Escort and Blue Light Driving

The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary Club was George Crossman who gave a talk entitled ‘Blue Light Driving and Royalty Escort Duties’. 

As a now retired  long serving policeman he detailed his time in the Cumbria Force talking about his training and his eventual experiences as a motor cycle policeman who spent much of his time escorting royalty throughout the county.

He name dropped people like the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Lady Di and Princess Anne and regaled us with humorous stories about their visits.
