The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary on 25th April was Kelvin Nash, the Principal of Kendal College who gave a presentation on the current situation.
With over 4000 learners using the college their OFTED report is still rated as ‘good’ with a new review due any time soon. They have ambitious plans for the future with the new Engineering and Construction building currently being built and a new Animal Rescue Centre being planned.
The Westmorland Shopping Centre plans are soon coming to fruition and this will be another valuable college site in the town. Drawing students from Cumbria and Lancashire the College is still ranked as No 1 in the country.
