Guest speaker Joan McMurdo gave a very interesting presentation on The Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to Prestwick Rotarians and guests. Chairman Andy Mathieson introduced Joan, who has responsibilities for membership recruitment, and international liaison within The Chamber.

The basic objective of The Chamber is to promote local businesses in Ayrshire, but that role expanded during Covid lockdown to include social support, such as organising deliveries of food to those in need, and offering advice on furlough finance.

The Chamber is based at Prestwick Airport and has over 600 members in Ayrshire. Joan handed out copies of the magazine 'Your Business' and the relevant website is www.ayrshire-chamber.org. Joan is hard-working, and passionate about her job.
Rotarian John Brebner offered a well-deserved vote of thanks. .
