2022 03 Golf Club and Zoom Mtg

Meeting at Golf Club plus Speaker and some Rotarians over Zoom

M&P Rotary welcomed the guest speaker to give us an insight as to the work being performed by her charity in the local area,the meeting was conducted through Zoom due to Sally not being able to physically attend on health grounds.  

 19 off Rotarians were present in the restaurant, with another 6 off remotely involved,also by Zoom.

 Sally opened by detailing the work that she and her charity are engaged in with its main objective being to provide FREE OF CHARGE Psychotherapy and Counselling sessions for families in the local area.

Amazingly, in the last 6/7 years 200 local families have benefited receiving over1500 sessions all free gratis.

Sally, very much a local girl, has spent her working life in the most wonderful way, displaying great qualities of vocation,dedication,perseverance,persuasion, honesty,humility and downright hard work in helping both individuals,couples,families and blended families, with a vast range of issues.

 Referrals for her work come from many sources--Social Services, Homestart,Children's Services,Victim Support,Bereavement Trauma,PTSD et al. 

Dealing with issues of Depression,Anxiety, Suicidal Ideation, Relationships,Addiction, Criminality and Family breakdown.etc. etc.

This audience was not only impressed by the vast range of skills deployed by Sally, and the level of sheer endeavour that is required to help, but that it was being performed with humility and a genuine concern for people and their problems.

 Appreciation was shown to Sally for her most informative presentation, with thanks and a very enthusiastic round of applause.
