Strong Entry for Rotary Young Photographer 2022
at Midhurst Rother College
There were more entries than ever before for this year’s Rotary Young Photographer at MRC, the theme was “Colours of Nature” and it certainly captured the youngsters artistic side.
The competition is aimed to encourage young people to experiment with photography, using digital and/or traditional methods of photography, to demonstrate interpretation of the theme and express ideas through the medium of photography.
There were 20 Intermediate entries aged between 11-13 and 7 Senior 14-17 year old.
The Three judges were Main Sponsor Michael Chevis, Steve Morley and Rosa Woodrow who were all very complimentary on the high standard of this year’s entries. The winners were Intermediate Jessica Dunn and Senior Jacob Thompson, and you can see the winners and commended entries below with the judges.
Both winners now qualify to be entered into the Rotary District competition with photos from Schools in Sussex, Surrey and Outer London. Congratulations go to Jessica and Jacob as well as Head of Photography at the college Andrew Hayward. All entries will receive a Rotary certificate and each winner will receive an A3 mount of their winning photo.
